Once again, as winter draws in, Central Bedfordshire Council is implementing their annual break for all kerbside collections of household garden waste in Central Bedfordshire.
Collections will be suspended for 12 weeks from Monday, 4 December 2023 until Friday, 23 February 2024 inclusive.
Central Bedfordshire Council pause the collection of garden waste every winter because of the very low volumes of garden waste that are collected. The low volumes mean it isn’t cost-effective to provide the service during these months. More details can be found on their website.
During the break, garden waste can still be recycled at the council’s four recycling centres (also known as tidy tips).
You can search on Central Bedfordshire Council website for opening times and addresses.
