Community Agent for Biggleswade
Julie Balaam is the Community Agent for Biggleswade.
Julie is employed by Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity (BRCC) and is funded by Biggleswade Town Council.
Julie was appointed to help residents access information and services. She works with residents, particularly those struggling with an issue or those who are feeling socially isolated.
The service is free and confidential and includes offering advice to statutory and voluntary organisations and community groups. This service can be received over the phone or by email or at residents’ home.

• Identifying any benefits you might be entitled to, such as Pension Credit and Attendance Allowance.
• Completing forms, such as Blue Badge; Attendance Allowance; or Carers’ Allowance.
• Understanding confusing correspondence or paperwork
• Contacting other organisations, groups and agencies that can also provide you with help and advice.
• Making informed choices about issues such as health, housing, transport options, joining social groups or volunteering
