The re-opening of Franklin’s Recreation Ground took place on Saturday 3rd June 2023.
The event saw the newly improved play area officially opened for public use. The Mayor of Biggleswade, Cllr Mark Foster, provided an opening speech, and the Biggleswade Community Carnival King and Queen cut the ceremonial ribbon.
Even the sun came out which added to the positivity of the occasion!
Refreshments were provided by a local ice cream van and coffee vendor.
The Town Council wish to thank the many residents who attended this special occasion and who took the opportunity to enjoy the new play equipment and landscaped area.
A special thanks goes to the external contractors and the Public Realm Team for their hard work in bringing this project to completion.
We hope that the community will enjoy this outdoor space.
