The benches situated within the Town Centre are to be refurbished and will, therefore, be temporarily removed in order to complete this process.
The Town Centre Bench Refurbishment Programme is starting this week. Nine benches will be removed from Market Square on Tuesday January 19, 2021 in what will be an ongoing process until all the benches have been refurbished. This will be completed in batches of nine. It is an ideal time to undertake this project as, due to the current COVID-19 lockdown in force, the benches should not be used for socialising at this time.
