Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Award for Voluntary Service

On Monday 11th July, Mayor Grant Fage attended a ceremony for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Award for Voluntary Service, to celebrate the work of Biggleswade Good Neighbours.   Nominated for the award by the Town Council, the Good Neighbours do a huge amount to support the elderly and isolated in Biggleswade, and have been instrumental throughout the pandemic in ensuring essential supplies such as food and medicine reached the most vulnerable.   Accompanied by the Lord Lieutenant and High Sheriff of Bedfordshire, the Mayor was pleased to meet the Good Neighbours volunteers and thank them personally for their efforts.   Congratulations to Biggleswade Good Neighbours on their well-deserved award!
