There has been good progress made on restoration works to Drove Road Chapel.
A high level inspection was carried out in January 2023 to determine the extent of high-level works to be undertaken prior to the removal of the scaffolding.
Some of the work that will be carried out over the next month will consist of repairs to ventilators, re-glazing windows, brick re-pointing and stone repairs.
Access to and around the Chapel building will be restricted for the duration of these works to ensure the health and safety of residents and construction workers. There is no limitation to access the Cemetery.
Phase one works are due to be complete by the end of February 2023, subject to satisfactory weather conditions.
Phase two works will include window and joinery repairs, French drain installation and redecoration.
Phase three works will include electrical upgrading and boundary wall repairs.
