Planting of the Tiny Forest at Jubilee Recreation Ground

Today marked the start of the Earthwatch Tiny Forest initiative at Jubilee Recreation Ground.

Partners including Earthwatch Europe and Central Bedfordshire Council, alongside volunteers from the Biggleswade area, participated in the planting endeavor.

The majority of the 600 diminutive trees were successfully planted earlier in the day, with the remainder scheduled for planting by day’s end.

An array of tree species, including holly, oak, cherry, elm, heather, field maple, and silver birch, were among those carefully planted as part of this extensive project. Benches have been installed around the miniature forest for passersby to sit and rest.
