The cost of resident and business car parking permits will increase from 1st April 2022.
While we understand this increase comes at a difficult time, this is the first increase since charges were introduced in August 2018. The Town Council suspended all car parking charges during the COVID-19 pandemic to help businesses and residents. Unfortunately, the Town Council can no longer absorb all of the increased costs of providing high-quality parking.
Where possible, we recommend residents and workers consider 6-month or annual permits as these represent better value for money than our shorter-term permits.
