Sunday 6th February marks the 70th anniversary of the accession of Queen Elizabeth II. On this special anniversary date, HM The Queen will become the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee. I have recorded a special message paying tribute to the Queen’s sense of duty and long reign, and make reference to the celebrations that will take place across Bedfordshire, the Nation and the Commonwealth to celebrate this Platinum Jubilee. This includes tree planting, services of thanksgiving, street tea parties and lighting of beacons.
