Following its transfer from Central Bedfordshire Council, the Linear Wood and Saxon Gate Pocket Park was officially opened to the public today by Mayor Jonathan Woodhead.
The Town Council’s Public Realm Team has worked diligently in recent months to transform the park and woodland into the welcoming space it is today.
The opening ceremony was attended by several Town Council Officers as well as other Council Members, including Deputy Mayor David Albone and Chairman of the Town Centre Management Committee Sarju Patel. They were joined by CBC Ward Councillor Grant Fage and Cliff Andrews, Chief Executive of the Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity.
This park and woodland represent a significant addition to the Town Council’s portfolio of green spaces and a valuable boost to the town’s Green Wheel initiative.
