On Sunday 22 March, 2026, a wonderful Mayor’s Civic Service was held at St Andrew’s Church in Biggleswade, officiated by Rosemary Bentley, Licensed Lay Minister.
We were honoured to welcome a number of distinguished guests, including the Vice Lord Lieutenant, Christopher Sharwood-Smith MBE; the High Sheriff, Camilla King; the CEO of Magpas Air Ambulance, Daryl Brown MBE; and Air Cadets Flight Lieutenant Amanda Wilson, alongside Mayors from neighbouring towns.
The Sea, Air and Army Cadets provided a particularly special welcome, lining the entrance to the church and contributing to the ceremonial atmosphere of the occasion. Following the event, guests were invited to light refreshments in the Chapter House.
