Community at Heart

The Mayor, Cllr Jonathan Woodhead, has been busy recently attending a range of local events in and around Biggleswade.

Among his engagements was the Annual General Meeting of Biggleswade Good Neighbours—one of his chosen charities for the year—where he showed his support for their ongoing community work.

He also took part in the popular Annual Duck Race, organised by the Biggleswade Community Carnival, which was once again a great success.

Last weekend, Cllr Woodhead travelled to St Neots for the regional Armed Forces Day flag-raising ceremony. There, he had the pleasure of meeting the Deputy Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire, Mrs Jennifer Crompton DL, and the Mayor of St Neots, Cllr Richard Slade.

During the event, he also met Ms Samantha Wenn of Sandy and her horse, Chester. Samantha, a former British Army soldier, dedicates her time to raising funds for the Royal British Legion of Bedfordshire.
