I am delighted to let you know that HM the Queen has been pleased to appoint Mrs Susan Lousada DL as Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the County of Bedfordshire when I retire on Tuesday 6th September 2022.
I have attached the press release and a photo, but Sue will be well known to you as a dedicated and enthusiastic supporter of our county as a Deputy Lieutenant, former High Sheriff and in her significant charitable roles.
She shares the values which we hold so dear in the Bedfordshire Lieutenancy which are expressed as ” From the community, for the community, shining a light on the community”.
I know that you will give her your wisdom, encouragement and friendship which I have been so happy and proud to have enjoyed over the years.
